TEREA vs HEETS: What's the Difference (and Which One Fits Your IQOS)?

If you're shopping for IQOS sticks in Dubai, you've probably noticed two names floating around: HEETS and TEREA. They look similar, they're both made by Philip Morris International, and they're both designed for heat-not-burn devices, but they are not interchangeable. Here's what separates them and how to choose the correct stick type.

The short answer

HEETS are made for compatible classic IQOS devices such as IQOS 3 DUO, IQOS 3, IQOS 3 MULTI, IQOS 2.4 Plus, and compatible IQOS Lil Solid models. TEREA sticks are made for the newer IQOS ILUMA lineup, including ILUMA, ILUMA ONE, and ILUMA PRIME. The two are not cross-compatible. Using the wrong stick in the wrong device can lead to a poor fit or damage, so check the device model before ordering.

Why the devices don't mix

Classic IQOS devices use a blade-style heating system, while IQOS ILUMA devices use induction heating and have no blade. TEREA sticks are designed for the ILUMA system and include a different internal construction. If you own an ILUMA, use TEREA. If you own a compatible classic IQOS device, use HEETS.

Flavour and product differences

HEETS and TEREA have different product ranges and availability by market. Compare the current product description, flavour, origin information where shown, pack quantity, and device compatibility. You can review Arabic-blend HEETS from Lebanon or HEETS selections from Kazakhstan. For TEREA options, review the current products in the IQOS ILUMA range.

Which one should you buy?

  • Own an IQOS 3, IQOS 3 DUO, IQOS 3 MULTI, IQOS 2.4 Plus, or compatible Lil Solid? Browse the HEETS and TEREA collection, then confirm the exact stick type for your model.
  • Own an IQOS ILUMA, ILUMA ONE, or ILUMA PRIME? Start with the IQOS ILUMA collection and choose TEREA products.
  • Not sure which device you have? Check the model name printed on the holder, charger, or box, or contact the store before ordering.

Before checkout, confirm the product name, stick type, flavour, pack quantity, origin information where shown, price, stock, delivery estimate, and support terms. You can browse the IQOS range or new IQOS and HEETS arrivals. For more buying checks, read the authenticity information and FAQ. IQOS, HEETS, and TEREA products contain nicotine and are for adults only.
